Conference about IRM

On the 3rd of October, Youth participated in a conference debate moderated by Martin Arnould, Living Rivers Programme Officer at WWF France. They discovered different projects around rivers in Europe and worldwide. They learned how difficult IRM implementation could be but also how important it is for our present and our future. They made those words their own : "IRM is difficult and a long -term process but we have to succeed !"

They reflected on 6 principles on which IRM is based : to protect and restore water resources, to pay attention to local knowledge and people, to involve people, to share knowledge and experience, to take into account all the interests at stake and to promote worldwide cooperation,
